/*OMG! I Figured it Out!*/
The musings and discoveries of an insatiably curious programmer.A Programmers Eureka
Sometimes I don't just run into problems for my ever curious mind to pick apart and solve. Sometimes I actually go looking for them. But regardless of how I find them, it's all the same once I've solved the problem: "OMG! I Figured it Out!" It's a Programmers Eureka.George Orwell Quote
"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
- George Orwell, 1984

Town Twinning
I just learned something rather interesting. There is a practice around the world called Town Twinning where two cities or towns will enter a Twinning Agreement to help promote understanding of cultural differences, boost tourism, etc. One example of this is a Twinning Agreement between Burnaby, BC, Canada and Mesa, Arizona, USA. The reason that this struck me as so interesting is that my Grandma & Grandpa Jansson used to have homes in both Burnaby and Mesa. A family home in Burnaby, and a Vacation home in Mesa. Many Canadian citizens vacation in places like Mesa, Arizona especially seniors during the cold harsh months of winter as the warmer climate can make those months much more bearable for those of ailing health.

Death to PHP's Short Open Tags
I just spent a majority of this evening trying to find a solution to this problem where HTML Tidy will mess up declaration code when it's enclosed in a PHP script because it wants to see the XML first. I just figured out that I had already fixed the problem when I installed PHP by turning off the "short_open_tag" declaration in the PHP.ini, and that earlier this evening I had seen that very suggestion in a newsgroup post but at the time I didn't realize what it meant. Oh My God! I'm loosing my mind! On a lighter note, I'm working on a web site and it's coming along nicely.
